Paholio said the Kadayawan race will be divided into four categories: Open Elite for 21 to 35 years old, Grassroots for 18 to 21 years old, Youth (16 to 18) and the Masters for 35 years old and above.

“Riders, who have competed in the Open Elite are disqualified to join the Masters,” Paholio said.

The route will cover the three congressional districts of Davao starting at the City Hall and to end up at Barangay Langub.

On the other hand, Paholio said final qualifying Race for Peace, the turning point of the grueling race, will be at Barangay Buda, Marilog District, the last barangay of Davao City adjacent to Bukidnon, Paholio said.

The event is organized by Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) Davao and officiated by Philcycling. Union Cycliste International (UCI) rules and Philcycling regulations will be used.

“Riders will be required to race with Philcycling license this time. No license, no entry as we will implement strict time-lines and deadlines,” Paholio said.

He said registration fee is free. But clubs and teams will still be required to pre-register their riders.

Official entry forms will be available at the Jaltan Food Centrum or at the Builders Multi-purpose Cooperative (BMPC) office at Jaltan Building 2, Magallanes St. (PNA)
